About the project

Society is aging fast and taking care of the elderly is becoming a challenge. Digital solutions offer support to nursing staff but the potential of digitisation is still underused. The DigiCare4CE project promotes innovative solutions that improve care quality and develops a transnational strategy for the digital transformation of care facilities. The partnership tests the deployment of new technologies in pilot actions and elaborates action plans for their broader implementation. Imagine a future where technology empowers caregivers and enriches the lives of our elderly! The DigiCare4CE project is making this a reality. As our population ages, caring for seniors presents a growing challenge. But there's good news: innovative digital solutions exist to support caregivers and improve the well-being of those they care for. DigiCare4CE is at the forefront of this transformation. We're bringing together top minds across Europe to develop a strategy for integrating these technologies into long-term care facilities.

What are we working on?

DigiCare4CE

Strategy Development for the digital transformation of long-term care facilities for older people

Our focus is on creating a clear and actionable strategy that will guide long- term care facilities in their digital transformation journey. By working closely with stakeholders across Slovakia and Central Europe, we are crafting tailored action plans that introduce essential digital tools to reduce staff workloads and enhance care quality. This strategic approach will ensure that care facilities remain sustainable and resilient in the face of increasing demands, embedding digital practices into everyday management and preparing institutions for the future of elderly care.

Testing the digital transformation of long-term care facilities for older

We are turning strategy into action by testing innovative digital solutions in real- world care settings. Through pilot projects, new technologies will be introduced to streamline operations, improve care delivery, and enhance communication between care providers and external partners. These real-life trials allow us to evaluate the effectiveness of digital tools and offer valuable insights to care facilities on how to successfully adopt and scale these innovations. Public sector representatives will see firsthand how these digital solutions can transform care processes and improve outcomes.

Enhancing the innovation capacity of the long-term care ecosystem

Our goal is to create a culture of innovation within the long-term care sector by equipping facilities with the skills, resources, and technologies needed for continuous improvement. We offer training programs, knowledge-sharing workshops, and access to digital tools specifically designed for elderly care. By building the innovation capacity of care providers, we ensure that they are ready to meet future challenges and deliver higher-quality care. This effort helps create a modern, tech-enabled environment that benefits both caregivers and residents.
