National Financing Schemes in Slovenia


  1. Long-Term Care Act (ZDOsk-1): Article 31 (Additional Rights to Long-Term Care) of the Act stipulates that an insured person is entitled to additional rights, under the conditions specified in this Act. These include co-financing e-care services under Article 33 of the Act, except when utilizing full-day long-term care in an institution. The right to e-care services is co-financed in the amount of 25 euros per month per user. The user is also entitled to co-financing a one-time cost of 50 euros for the installation of equipment and connection setup for the provision of e-care services at the user's residence. The value of the right to e-care services in the first month is granted proportionally to the full value of the right. -> more information

Examples


  1. Recovery and Resilience Plan (European Commission): Slovenia is committed to increasing the accessibility, availability, and affordability of high-quality LTC services. This includes investments in digitalization, staff capacity building, and integration with health services, ensuring the system's sustainability and effectiveness.
  2. Digitisation of the system for recording, storing and using data in long-term care and social care (DIGIDO project): The period of implementation of the investment activities is from 1 April 2024 to 31 October 2028.The total amount of public funds, both budgetary and cohesion funds, earmarked for the digitisation programme will amount to just over €2.1 million, the ministry added.
